I'm Howard Small

I'm passionate about entrepreneurship and its potential to change the lives of startup founders and small business owners. My goal is to empower entrepreneurs to build profitable AI-based businesses.

I'm a perennial entrepreneur experienced in angel investing, digital marketing and software engineering. My experience, derived from successes and failures, have enabled me to offer content, consulting and capital to explore profitable business opportunities.

Early Days

I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 10 years old, growing up in Guyana, South America. I ran errands and did odd jobs. I continued my habits when I came to the United States at age 12. I helped family friends with small jobs, including babysitting, errands and yard cleanup. I even trimmed Christmas trees. I didn’t get cash for some work, but I was not above working for food.

I was always fascinated with technology, spending hours immersed with construction and electronic kits. I knew, in high school, I wanted to be an engineer. I enrolled in NJIT and had to cobble together small grants and scholarships to pay tuition.

I graduated from NJIT and Howard University with degrees in electrical engineering, and began my career as a software engineer. 

Professional Career 

I built communications software for nationwide networks. I held C-level positions at engineering and real estate startups. At MITRE, I established a cloud engineering practice, consulted for clients on adoption and delivery, and conducted training.

I'm similarly immersed in AI and have researched and tested the technologies. AI will enable entrepreneurs to pursue profitable opportunities that may not even exist today. 

As an investor in real estate, stock market and startups, I enjoy applying my technical and business expertise to help entrepreneurs focus on AI-related products and services.
